Singapore is not lost

A place like Singapore, steeped in a history that spans from a seafaring age to a time of airborne war, a comedy of errors that caused it's loss and consequently the loss of Singapore's essence, is a troublesome place to look at through the lens. But look I did and I found something in the excessive peace and tranquil sedation that the city lays almost dormant beneath. Human beings create consequences to their ideologies that often give rise to a heightened form of interesting. Filtering out the norm I embarked on a journey with no purpose that seemed to mirrored the city I was in..... I found something.... something I still cannot define.

Rooted to the Road

An unplanned diversion is often the best plan. It can lead you to the unexpected. I certainly wasn't expecting the road to literally take me through the mountain forest.... I had definitely forgotten the impacting and not so hidden beauty of Bali that lays in wait beyond the congestion of its ever expansive building site. While in those congested veins of light, there's always something to snap your shutter at, with an allure of their own, they feed the greed that spirals raucously around the islands southern most tip.

Patio Glow

It's amazing where you find to shoot. Here's a patio at the back of a factory, behind the very special horn emporium in Petitenget, Bali. Chasing the setting suns light as it reclined from its lofty illuminary to an angle more playful and soft, is always an enjoyable time to capture...... and here's what we got.
Alexia Blake and the Horne emporiums vintage and couture clothing are to thank here.... as well as the sunlight that lit the way.

And of course, we said goodnight to Mary on the way out....
