Pirate Gold Siren Silver

Sometimes the product of absolute spontaneity appears surprisingly well thought out. The reason for this may be that the excitement, anxiety and pressure of not knowing how something you have to do is to be done pushes your mind to a synapse firing frenzy that would rival a meeting of the american national rifle association. And so it begins.
So, trigger at the ready, target in sight the shoot was carried out seamlessly in the Bali sunshine. Light ocean winds pulsed in unpredictable rhythms sending 'AK's' spinning wildly east to west. Precious metals shimered like the freshly drenched sand from tides ebb and flow. A modern day pirates life with all the comforts that can be captured with silver and gold.

I would like to thank La Barca for the wonderful space and the hospitality provided. This shoot was for Alexia Blake and her new enterprise. It was a delight to be involved.

The Dappled Cities

You meet the off stage version of a band before ever seeing them live and you really have no inkling of the magnitude of stage presence they're capable of. They get in front of the lights, instruments in hand and switch persona's like super hero's! They rock out tunes, enthrall the onlooking crowd, and enjoy it, like you hoped they would. The 'Dappled Cities', thanks for these shots. I hope they reflect even a minuscule amount of your palpable vibrance on the stage!

'Into The Night & Take Flight'

As I began to explore the city of KL, it quickly became clear that the blinding lights of the architectual feats meant to attract your eye to the wonder, power and wealth of the city, only served to shed light on the impoverished back alleys that house the hidden occupants and their struggle to live in this metropolis.
The light that shone the brightest came from the eyes of the people carrying out their daily offerings in comforting communities with as many supporting pillars as any of the mindblowingly gigantic buildings. The concept of a city has always fascinated me, it's attraction, its promises and its bustle. A blind alley lit all the way until it's very dark end. And like moths we flutter careleslly to its brightness, ignorant of the potential it has to burn the life from us.
